What is Starlink?
How does Starlink work?
Starlink is a satellite internet constellation project developed by SpaceX, which aims to provide high-speed, low-latency internet access to underserved and remote areas around the world. The project involves deploying a large number of small satellites in low Earth orbit, creating a network that can deliver internet connectivity to areas where traditional broadband services are unavailable or unreliable.Starlink provides faster and more reliable internet access with a lower latency (response time) Satellite Network compared to the National Broadband Network (NBN). This is often beneficial for those in Country, Rural or Remote Areas which NBN Satellite or 4G/5G coverage is poor.
Starlink has a more advanced satellite network and technology, which results in faster speeds, lower latency, and more reliable internet access compared to the National Broadband Network (NBN) SkyMesh satellite service, especially in rural and remote areas.
On average, you can expect speeds in a range from 100mpbs to 200mpbs for download and from 5mpbs to 30mpbs for upload whilst using Starlink. Read more and see speed tests here.
On average, you can expect speeds in a range from 100mpbs to 200mpbs for download with some peaks of over 300mbps. We have recorded over 400mbps!. You can read more about Starlink Download Speed Expectations here.
The Process
We assess your property to ensure Starlink is the right fit and identify the best mounting location for maximum performance. Depending on your location, this can be completed remotely or on-site.
Finalise Order
Once the survey is complete, we’ll provide a clear installation plan outlining the required equipment, mounting options, and any additional works needed before proceeding.
Equipment Order
After approval, we organise any additional parts required for your installation. If you haven’t already ordered your Starlink kit, this is the stage to complete your order.
Once everything has arrived, we’ll schedule your installation and complete the setup professionally, including mounting, cabling, configuration, and testing.
Installation dates may occasionally be affected by weather conditions.
